@destroyah3034 19 years old here when it hit i lived in thousand oaks at the time my dad actually had to drag me outta bed i was frozen to date i member EVERYTHING like it just happened :(
I was a child at the time, but I don't think the EBS broadcasts went out on TV. Instead I do think the radio stations did have them activated. I do remember that there were sirens going off in the epicenter areas. I know that from experience, since I was right on the epicenter visiting my aunt and uncle, and we spent the night there in their apartment.
Never will I forget the sheer horror of that night, and the subsequent getaway with 5 other family member squished into a Toyota '92 Celica.
