Sacred Ibis - Threskiornis aethiopicus

An escaped Sacred Ibis on the Apaj Fishponds in the Kiskunsagi National Park, Hungary. The ring on the left leg is blue FW and on the right leg is IBIS ZOOSB 21. Is there anybody who missed this bird?

updated: the bird was escaped from Salzburg Zoo!

I am not pretty sure but isn't it Australian White Ibis, Threskiornis molucca? It has more white on neck than Sacred.

This is a Sacred because the end of the secondaries are black (but it's not show on this video well...)

Great video! Would you believe these birds are considered pests in Australia now? There has been a recent growth explosion, I think they're pretty cool

Curious .. Where he escaped from? Here we have many birds that are banded that are wild . THey do this to help research the birds, or even to help protect them.. Is this what they do where you live? Beautiful Bird.. I hope he is doing ok and Thanks for Positing!
