A basic recap of the 2008-09 season. Missouri S&T's (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) Miner Baja SAE design team is (at 2008-09) a relatively young team in the Collegiate Baja series. Keeping in mind that the car featured in this video was produced in just the 4th year since the team's inception in 2005, and with only 6 active members, one can see the enormous potential and existing talent of the team.
The video is meant to be fairly informal and light-hearted as our team is, in reality, not a sleek and polished one. At the time of 2008-09, the Miner Baja SAE design team is the smallest and youngest of the eight design teams at Missouri S&T. S&T is still creating a foundation for a champion-caliber car, and hopes (read "expects") to finish in the top ten at all events attended during the 2009-10 season.
Song is "Rock Lobster" by the B-52's and is the property of its respective owners. The creator of this video does not, nor does Missouri S&T claim any creative rights, but does claim fair use under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976.
Non-Professionally:
This is about the best I can do with Windows Movie Maker. Pre-publishing, all sound and video synced perfectly with no choppiness. Post-publishing, there are plenty of sync issues. I hope to be creating all future videos in not-for-babies video editing software. So if you notice any flaws or mistakes, I'm going to blame MovieMaker.
