Which version is better? Take 1 or Take 2? The take 2 is after I had Masterclass with Brian Head, a great USC guitar teacher. Brian had completely transformed me to different state as you can see the different between take 1. Critics and advises are welcome...but pls be gentle ;)
I play a Masaru Kohno 1986 Brazilian Rosewood/Spruce

  • superb!

I wonder what strings do u use? btw, is ur Masaru Kohno French polished?

  • I have Augustine Blue as Kohno manufacture suggestion. Yes, my guitar is a Kohno model Special. It has French polish. I don't have a good mic so the sound is just OK. I wish I can afford the Earthworks mic ;)

  • @legendavy For this clip, I used Augustine Blue.

Lately, I change to Oasis Normal but I don't like it very much.

  • Guitar Solo in San Francisco will sure have Bream's version. Its in the book which have around ten pieces in there.

  • Thank you watercolor, I glad you enjoy it. --JT

  • Hi Bach, you are right, Brian is not a member of LAGQ. --JT

  • you play so amazing, i have learn only the half so far, hehe....well done man!

  • Bravo! Take 1 was more labored and choppy, but take 2 is much smoother and flows smoothly! In Take One, you were "pronouncing the words," but in Take Two, you "read the sentence." Very nice!

  • BRAVO!!!

  • Wow, this is great. The variation 1 and 2 are superb. How can you close your eyes and make no mistakes? I am still practice this piece but not smooth. Keep up the good work....

  • take 1 was great and take 2 is even a little better. Thanks for posting.

    cheers!

  • wow, i didn't know there r people still use Augustine nowadays. Have u thought of experimenting w/ other strings too?

  • Excellent,flawless rendition,I really enjoyed it ! Thanks .Claude
