Eight-foot gator crosses the road

On my way home from work today, I turned onto the highway to see a large alligator lounging in the road. At first I thought he might have been hit, but on closer inspection I could see he'd just made a kill and was basking in the sun on the warm pavement. I was about to shoot a video when a cop came up next to me and startled me with his siren. This is why I drop the camera early into the video. The siren eventually got the gator off the road, and I continued home. Spoon's "Everything hits at once" is playing on my stereo in the background.
