@123wambat Sorry but after that was a few other. And in fact Arabs used their horses rather to transport then to fight. Look about that in web. You will find some information about 26th US(PS) cavalry charge in Bataan. And Italian Savoia regiment in Russia. Both in 1942. Cheers.

TUTTI MOLTO BELLI

@Adam7510 Actually the last cavalry charge was by Lawrence of Arabia and the arabs against the Ottomans or turks.
-
One of The Duke's most underrated performances!!
-
@greatguy200 It wasn't a ribbon per se - in the 1800's, it was the trooper's yellow bandana/neckerchief a woman wore to signify she was attached/betrothed to a U.S. Cavalry trooper. Yellow ribbons (both wearing them and tying to trees, etc.) gained popularity again during the 70's as a result of Tony Orlando's song "Tie a Yellow Ribbon".
-
@greatguy200 for the same reason ppl now tie yellow ribbons around trees in their yards to let the troops know that they have support and let others know they have loved one over seas or in the war

Why did she wore a yellow ribbon for? I didn't exist when this movie came out. Just wondering.
Glorious! I still recall staying up late on a nite in the 1970's to watch this great film.
God Bless the USCAV!
