What a rare record and a great sound !!! What equipment do you use for transfering ?

Is the flip side also by the Weintraubs (And my we hear :) ? I only knew their till 1933 german recordings. Outstanding!

I use a Marantz Audio Consolette preamp(1954). The flip side is "My Melancholy Baby" by Weintraubs -- it will be in the queue for posting.

Written by my dear departed friend, T (for Thomas) Marvin Hatley (1905-1986). He was the musical director of the Hal Roach Studios from 1930 to 1940, wrote many specialty songs for Charley Chase and for the Hal Roach series of musicals; also wrote the score for L&H's "Them Thar Hills," their features "Way Out West," "Block-Heads," "A Chump at Oxford" and "Saps at Sea," and their indelible theme song, which Marvin always titled "Ku-Ku."

@ediunicko L&H were favourites of my Dad and I- I treasure the memories of him and I, as a kid many years ago, laughing ourselves silly over their antics, especially the Sons of the Desert- my all time favourite. Their silent flicks were a hoot too!  This is one of the first tunes I learned on the ukelele 'cause its so much fun!
