  • the lav 1 looks better then this

  • @BaconTV123

You must kidding right ? .

  • @Jimderkaisser i said looks and kinda i perfer 8 wheels...(this is my point of view) they need to make the cannon higher or thier gonna take out friendlys like the BMP-1 did

  • @BaconTV123

Tracked vehicles has a higher maintenance cost than wheeled vehicles in opposite the tracked vehicles offer a higher mobility in poor road than wheeled vehicles. The wheeled vehicles are quieter than tracked vehicles which mean it improve stealth. Tracked vehicles has higher level of protection than wheeled vehicles but in contract the wheeled vehicles can be air transportable with C-130 Hercule or other similair aircraft while the tracked vehicles need a more larger aircraft.

  • in contrast*** not contract

  • Looks like a great combat vehicle. Are CF going to add this to their inventory?

  • I heard they were considering purchasing a 100 or more of these to support the Leopard II's in combat. The LAV III's will still be used of course, but tracked IFV's are better suited for off-road driving, therefore they are able to keep up with the Leopards more efficiently.

  • I think the plan was for the infantry to keep the LAVs while these would be issued to the armored regiments so infantry assigned to work with the tanks would dismount their LAVs and load into the CV90s while their LAVs follow from behind at the battle group level. Of course the CV90s would have an Armor corps driver, gunner and loader in the turret.

  • @jgillies93 You don't equip your military with "when are we going to use this", on the mind. You equip your military with, "We hope not but we are ready when we need it".

  • @Jimderkaisser Agreed, but trust me, there are some places that only track can go...

  • @jayjason000 oh and our artillery!

  • @GerrettJihad everything but our aircraft, watercraft, most of our weapons, our armor, our camo, and some land vehicles.

  • Do Us canadians Buy everything from Germany? Ive they wanted to start ww3 again, we would probly loose to Germanyt seeing as how they still build the worlds Armour.

    cool though!

  • so uh when are we gonna ever use this? considering that we're pulling out...

  • @Jimderkaisser lavs are sexy...
