I went to the season ending races in Springfield, Illinois in 2002, and at the banquet for fans and riders after the race, Nicky Hayden was a total douche. My dad tried to talk to him and he was a real shit. Flat trackers have always been accessible and friendly to their fans, but this bumpkin had no class whatsoever...

Amazing and effortless 39.2 seconds for first time on bike. Would have qualified 20th out of 47 riders in 3 laps. Not too shabby. Glad he had a great time.
