Not your average speedrun, QRJDQ aims to find the fastest possible times through Quake's rocket jumping maps by splicing together the best demos from multiple collaborators, continuing the Quake done Quick legacy.
QRJDQ demonstrates the unique physics of Quake and the creative things one can do by mastering it.
@K12machinima LOL "alright lets do this!" -rocket explodes and all body parts fly off upward and onto the target roof- "WOW WTF you made it!" "....". "bob?" " i think he's dead". "WHO CARES! did u see that?!"

@slamkam07 I'd be impressed if someone did it in real life...but...that pry wouldn't last very long, considering a rocket would end your shit the second you shot it into the ground. If you lived...you'd have technically jumped, I suppose.

@K12machinima no but it's be freaking awesome if someone did it successfully even tho they died

@jackoneill45 That is true, just didn't know if that was teqnically called a 'jump' considering the fact that you can't really jump in the official version of Doom.

@K12machinima I'd like to agree with you on that, but by definition of a rocket jump, the jumping of the player is required to make it a rocket jump. What your thinking of is rocket juggling, which was invented in Doom, because it involves using the rocket with the player's movement to throw him around, while RJing involves timing your shot perfectly with your jump, and many times requires you to string multiple ones together. Also, Dooms RL is too powerful, so it negates its usefulness in DMing

@slamkam07 That's right, Doom invented it, it's on Doom 2, before Quake was made, I don't remember the map, but one of the secrets involves "Forward" rocket jumping, and therefore, Doom invented it. Even though in real life you'd die if you even so much as tried it. :P
