You should have waited a bit longer and gone with the 50/1.4. It'll last longer and you get FTM and a better USM AF motor. Plus the MF ring on this is a joke.

what does the remote do? & is this lens better than the kit lens? (canon t3i kit lens)? is the zoom better than the 18-55mm lens for canon t3i?

@NicoleTiana The remote allows you to take photos from a distance without clicking the shutter button. It depends what you are looking to take photos of. I definitely prefer the 50mm for taking portraits over the kit lens.

@Calvinkoolz I know it's called bokeh, I just didn't think many would understand, resulting in the need to explain it in simpler terms anyways.
