@lolamac7 Big raw smoothie for breakfast or juice. lots of fruits for energy in the am. blueberries, strawberries, banana, oranges, and romain lettuce or spinach. I snack all day on carrots, a few nuts and seeds like raw sunflowerseeds, trail mixish stuff like nuts with dried fruits, peas, etc. Lunch- big salad with home made sunflower seed ranch dressing (youtube the recipe) sprouts, tons of veggies, apples, or whatever i have. And dinner I have brown rice or whole grain pasta...

@VibrantVegan I feel great! I increased my bench by 5 pounds this week, and I managed to get out of bed early for the first time! Only problem I have is a slight bloating, but I think this is because of all the extra fiber I'm taking in, so my body will get used to it eventually :). I also eat a lot of bananas for potasium

Day ten on a vegan diet... i am eating a lot of raw unprocessed foods as well as whole grains. I feel awesome and I have lost 7 pounds!

ok, after 4 months of consideration and critisising vegans, I have come to the conclusion that I am going vegan! I was critisising it mainly bacause I'm a powerlifter, but then I read a bunch of harvard and yale studies saying that the best strength training diet is high carb, and a vegan diet is very high carb. I'm gonna try it out for at least a week. if I feel good, I'll keep doing it. I was just wondering if there are any nutritional guidelines I should think about?

@Chaaarge Is today day 4 of your vegan diet? How is it going? Here are a couple things to keep in mind: Eat a whole food diet-stay away from processed food as much as you can. Eat lots of greens-they are loaded with free amino acids and micronutrients. I think where a lot of people go wrong with a vegan diet is eating processed, fake foods. Your muscles are built out of the food you eat. If you are eating healthy, whole foods you will build strong, powerful muscles.
