War on What? - First Visit by a DEA Director to an Active War Zone... Afghanistan

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency is helping in the fight to take down what has been called Talibans nacro-insurgency.

In the first visit by a DEA administrator to an active war zone, Michele Leonhart is spending three days meeting with U.S., coalition and Afghan officials.

The DEA now has more than 90 special agents and support personnel deployed in Afghanistan. In the last 6 months, 3 DEA agents have been killed in action and another was wounded. I interviewed the DEA's acting administrator while she was in Marjah - site of a major offensive against the Taliban last month.

Cartels get virtually ALL of there profit because of the War on Drugs. It forces criminals to sell drugs, when it could be controlled, regulated, and safer sold by the market. Also it would make it more difficult for kids to get a hold of. Lemme tell you, I'm only 19 and I can find illegal drugs a hell of a lot easier than I can get a hold of alcohol. If drugs were legal, it would help stop underage drug use and leave the decision of using drugs to when people are older and more responsible.

Congress is about to finalize the nomination of Michele Leonhart to the head of the DEA, before she was just a stand in. This woman is insane.
