Like hammer pants only shorter.... and more Victorian.

Bloomer style shorts are the perfect accessory for lolita or hime style fashion. They are modest, provide fullness to skirts, and are easy enough to make at home.

If anything is not clear in this tutorial, please visit my website, http://www.evangesews.com/. I will be putting up patterns, diagrams, and step by step instructions.

  • if you made the length longer, could you do this for harem pants?

  • @shfoodluver It would probably work, but I also have a tutorial specifically for harem pants.

  • So, you cute out two pieces and laid them one atop the other before folding in half? You just made the length the measurement + the eight inches, and the width is the fabric width?

  • @kitkattcassy yup

  • What does the width of the fabric determine on the bloomers? I feel like I may need to cut down the 45 inch to something smaller but I'm not sure how much I have to cut off... I'm trying to make bloomers for my friend but she's a size 0 and sometimes even XS clothing is a bit too big for her- at least, mainly concerning her waist and hip when I was trying to buy her a dress. D:

  • @DemonMaiden The width determines how puffy they are.

  • Hi Evange! Can you explain on your website how you did the bloomers, please? I`m spanish and it`s hard to understand an oral explanation. Thanks
