it may be a variation of an "original" score, because most silent films that are restored/remastered find a score to the film that would have been played to accompany the film. I think this is completely original but I'm not certain. I've heard different scores to this film that sound similar (but less contemporary)

This movie is awesome! The music is eerie, Conrad Viedt is deliciously creepy, and the German expressionist sets are such a perfect background.

this is most likely the kino print because i have heard that it is the only release that does not contain a faint "defect" line across the top of the screen- and this one does not have it

well, tim burton was influenced and inspired by that very movie
and i think i've heard that rob zombie was inspired by tim burton, but I'm not sure^^
