The Story Behind X-GAMES Rally Jump

X Games if it weren't for Travis Pastrana's rampant enthusiasm for the speedy, dirty, sexy motorsport. If Travis took up barstool racing next ESPN would try to make it extreme. Fortunately Ken Block added the special sauce to Rally X in the form of a massive 70-foot jump. But there is more to clearing this jump than gunning a 1969 Charger to the tune of a Dixie air horn. Car set-up, precision driving and jump design all come into play. And this is exactly why we flew up to Salt Lake City to watch Ken teach Dave "More X Medals Than You" Mirra and Niall "Production Car WRC Champ" McShea the finer points of launching a rally car some 70-plus feet.

lower stiffness a bit increase bound damper to around 9 ns/mm (depending on weight of car). stabliser/anti-roll should take care of the tarmac corners. you dont need to lower it (ride height) to get it going good on and off road especialy on special stage tracks because when the cars touching ground... its smooth ground.

He beat McRae because he crashed, first time Colin raced in rally finland he rolled his car 4 times and still finished 10th. Also gymkhana video is total fake, cause they filmed it during 1 week and edited to 5mins. Any WRC driver could have done that faster and in one shot...

He is in midle class driver. I dont see him in WRC car and probably we will never see him in WRC because his driving is not enough to impress any big boys. True Rally Professor is Rauno Aaltonen and comparing Block to such talented driver is uselles. Aaltonen was able to 4 wheel drift rwd cars and never seen Block showing such controll. Rauno Aaltonen is my mentor in rallying and I have met him many times and talked privatly. True driving god, original Flying Finn!
