  • Have you ever fought muay boraan or muay boran this fighting is ti rhe death of the opponent. Some of the moves is from taekwondo i think because one of the moves is a round house kick but you jump off the opponent's knee

  • @TehBuddaChris No there are no fights to the death anywhere in Thailand or Lao. There are also no muay boran fights anywhere. in Thailand's MMA crcuit, Dare, there are a lot of Muay Boran guys trying to capitalize on the small locks throws and standing grapples of Muay Boran, but they consistently lose to foreigners with ground fighting skill. None of the moves of Muay Boran are from Tae Kwan Do. Tae KWan Do is a modern art from Korea and had no influence on the development of muay Boran.

  • @TehBuddaChris muay boraan is something they don't wanna show you

why they don't want to show you ?

because they not a kind of showy like mauy thai

Laos is cool ....the art of Lai Lao

  • @TehBuddaChris Muay Boran is the traditional non sport form of Muay Thai. It's a system from Thailand and Tae Kwon Do is Korean. It has weapons and as said is more of a combat form. Im no expert on the subject but Muay Thai is just the hand to hand stuff Muay Boran covered wrestling as well as weapons. Regardless Thai martial arts are powerful and deadly.

  • @doragzed like Koreans ppl that still using Japanese image to promote they Channels , TV programs with some purposes. They even tried to spin people's head by using Japanese name and culture on their channel for example Fuji tv but it's actually run by koreans. I know that Korea been under Japan awhile. This kind of behavior from Koreans can be found a lot on Youtube. Search it out. I'm a half Japanese-Thai. and it's distracting my eyes to see this behavior.

  • @doragzed Definitely, we share a lot of history cuz Thailand and Laos used to be the same country. No offence with Lao ppl. But don't forget. Modern Muay Thai just invented mixed with other boxing styles example european boxing and still keep using the same techniques from Muay Boran. I think ur teacher got it wrong one thing about the history. Not Half of the population was lao. but yeah they ancestors were lao. Using Thai shorts to promote Muay laos isn't right to do .......

  • @Chetah01 Thailand and Laos share a lot of history and culture. My ajarn who was from laos and taught this art as Muay Thai in Canada used to tell me that over half the thai population was Lao. he said there was not really much difference between Muay Thai and Muay Lao. He used to teach things like head butts for self defence, and I found out recently that head butts were still allowed in Muay Lao. BTW why do you think wearing Muay Thai shorts is stupid? Just curious.

  • @brooklynmonk1 can you give me the address for the Muay Lao Gym in Laos,i havent been there before

  • @LanXangLives Khmer Culture is heavly influenced by the hindu-buddhist cultures from India but the Khmer people are NOT originally from India, That is a myth and a legend not taken seriously by any scholar. lol

    DNA does not lie.

  • @LanXangLives OK I agree with this statement.
