How to make home made laundry soap. 1 bar of fells naphta or zote soap, 1 cup borax, 1 cup arm and hammer laundry detergent. Boil the water and grate the soap. Add the soap AS YOU GRATE IT, do not add all the grated soap in all at once. When all dissolved, add into a 3 gallon container, add hot water and the borax and arm and hammer. Mix as you go untill it fills up to 3 gallons. Use 1 cup of homemade soap per wash. You can use it right away. After it sits for a 1/2 day or so, it will turn into a gel and "clump" up. This is normal. If it does this, then mix it one last time and the gel should mix with the water it creates as it clumps and be fine from then on.
