I'll have to check, but I think 2009 was the year my old friend, John K., finally broke into the 200mph club. He was running Busa non-power adder class.

@9secondsflat I read about a hayabusa that did the texas mile at 256mph or so, which was loaded with a huge amount of extra weight on the front to keep the wheel on the ground. I can't think of why they would not keep the starter though.

did the pull the starter to save weight? that is why they used the wheel to start it?

She went 211.183, NOT 232...
-
@redhot916spd Yeah, that's probably because the video is kind of misleading. She has really only been 211 MPH at the TX Mile. I'm sure whoever made this didn't really mean for it to look like she went 232 MPH at the TX Mile when she hasn't.....
-
@neonwill14 All official records I've seen show 211 MPH.

What is her fastest speed at the Texas Mile?
@ 9secondsflat The day prior to the event the starter idler pin boss on the case broke due to a low battery "kick back". At that point the bike cannot be started with the starter and they borrowed a road racers rolling starter. I have never heard or seen one like it before. It did the job, but wore on the tire a bit.

Jen and Tom you are correct with the 211. Sorry if that was misleading. I only mentioned her fastest pass the 232 World Record with her accomplishments. I assumed people knew there are no records at Texas, just track top speed records right Tom!
