My second year at Dixie--Oh, what memories I carry from it! I met so many exciting, intresting, and downright quirky people, and I recommend that EVERY band student attends some sort of band camp. They're just so much fun, and you learn a lot and meet so many different people. Its great!!

For more information, check out the Dixie Band Camp site, even for an application!

  • is there anyone that is in the junior camp session

  • This year i made 5th band 8th chair for my first year and if your from Arkansas you your D major scale

  • i LOVE dixie i just got done with my first year!!!

  • Well, 1st band 1st chair is the TOP of that section. By making that chair, you are the best at your instrument at camp that year. Its hard. You face some 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. So, someone is probably more experienced than you, or takes private lessons. But no matter what, remember this--it IS possible. And even at a mensa convention there is always a dumbest person in the room.

    Best of luck!

  • How hard is it to make 1st band 1st chair.

  • Alright, its C, D, Eb, F, G, Ab, Bb scales. Do all scales two octaves unless your instrument doesn't--in which case you go up and down a scale twice.

  • i have a ?. wat scales do they make you play?? i know wat they r but i cant do 2 octaves on the a flat, b flat or e flat
