mazdaspeed 3 launches are all about the driver. and i'm guessing the cavalier was auto. still pretty sad.

dude honestly stfu. people are making it out like i said i was taking corvettes and shit. i never said it was some fucking supercar or anything just that they aren't as slow or as big of pieces of shit as people seem to think they are. unlike everyone else im not gonna talk shit on something ive never seen, or experienced. i know what is decently fast. i own a zx6r ninja that would take most any car in town i definitly wouldn't take on a vett or anything like that.

That 3000GT was not Twin Turbo then. Trust me man, I used to drive cars in the Cavalier/Civic/Neon class and think I was fast too. Then I grew up and realized I was actually pretty damn slow.

Yes, all 3000GT Turbo's were VR-4 and AWD. The base and SL 3000GT's were not boosted and were heavy and slow. I can tell you right now that you DID NOT beat a turbo 3000GT with a stock Cavalier if he was actually racing you unless his turbo was blown and he was only running on 3 cylinders.

I agree, I think the civic needs a turbo before it can be considered competitive in its market, it is severely underpowered. And the vr-4 thing, I know, which is why I asked whether or not it was a vr-4 model (which comes stock with twin turbos), or if it was a base 3000gt with aftermarket turbos.

the new si's really aren't all they are cracked up to be either. and it also depends on how much gets to the ground and gearing as well. the newest gen si's really still don't have much more power than a stock ecotec cavalier either. the factory rates the ecotec at 140hp but some put out more some less. gm did the same thing with the transam in the late 70's. i dorealise that was a v8 and this is in inline 4. and not all 3000gt turbo's were vr4 awd models.

an 02 si I can understand, i thought u were talking 8th gen si, but yeah the 3000gt thing still baffles me, was it a vr-4 or was it the base model with turbos added aftermarket?
