Tour the Carnival Destiny on a "Sea-day" as it journeys back to Miami from the Eastern Caribbean. I review here film from various areas of the 101-thousand ton mega-ship. Meet the towel animal menagerie in Stateroom #1153. Ride the towering glass elevators to the Spa Deck and check out the views of the Atlantic. See the aft pool area's retractable roof. Enjoy the solitude and watch the surf from the deserted walkways of Lobby Deck 3. Stroll Destiny's Way past the Millionaire's Club Casino on the Deck 5 Promenade, view the Point After Dance Club, the Universe Dining Room and the Palladium Theatre. See the Lido and Spa Deck lounge areas without a soul around and watch the dance of lights in the distance as fellow cruise ships "pass in the night". Arriving back to the Port of Miami still under darkness, we find Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas already docked. As day breaks over the port, we see the open road ahead and disembark, though still looking back fondly at out date with Destiny...

  • I love this video! My wife and I took our first cruise together on the Carnival Destiny back in March to Key West and Cozumel. It was my wifes first cruise but my second (I was on Royal Caribbean several years ago) and I absolutely love Carnival and the Destiny! The music near the end gave me chills because it musically reflected my sentiments and the morale on board the ship on our last night out at sea and as we were pulling into Miami in the morning.

  • @Daniel21384 Thanks! Yes, I found OceanLab's album, "Sirens of the Sea" a great album to listen to while on the cruise, so I knew their music would work well in the videos, but their song "Just Listen" wound up being absolutely perfect at the end.

MANY KUDOS and thanks to Ultra Records, for allowing the videos to continue playing, as well as to OceanLab!!! Please check out "Sirena of the Sea" and their other material at iTunes/Amazon/etc.!

(Warner Music Group should follow Ultra's lead)

  • can someone please answer me ---- do you get sea sick on these cruises like can u feeel the waves? would it be easy to be sea sick or is it just calm and cant feel it?

  • @XxscarsXnevaXhealxX - I avoided cruises for years because I get SICK AS A DOG when out on small boats... But I've been on three cruises and not once have I even felt queasy. Even on one cruise during Hurricane Ike, where we had VERY rough seas, it didn't bother me at all. The ships are so big and quite stable... you should not have any trouble.

  • my date with destiny is april 2. <3

  • Dont ya just love passing the other cruise ships at night, you can always tell that they are cruise ships cause they have so many lights compared to freighters! So sweet, I love when were basically running side by side to the next stop etc. Im also looking to take this cruise as my first carnival cruise ever this coming april.

  • february 6 and i will be there <3

  • Enjoyed this - liked that you mixed in video and still pics. Going to link to this from our Carnival Destiny page

  • Beautiful video, the music was very nice also. I'll be taking a cruise with my family on this very same ship at the end of Sept. for 5 days. Im going to watch this video again as that date gets closer to familiarize myself with the ship.

  • Why the loud music???

  • @DessertDivaFL There is also some really good bracelets for seasickness you can wear. Benadryl really helps too. My duo for this would be pepcid and benadryl. Pepcid stops the production of acid in the stomach and benadryl helps with the nausea and queasyness. The only side effect is that the benadryl makes you sleepy.

  • @XxscarsXnevaXhealxX : I have been cruising since I was 9 years old and not once have I gotten sea sick. The ships are big and you don't feel much. It depends on what time of year you are cruising and also the weather. You should be fine though.

  • Im going in 6 days!!!

  • Me and my family have had a cabin booked for this cruise for about four months now and we leave July 7th, and I think I've seen this video about 6 times a month XD
