  • Thank you .

Just out of curiosity : Suppose a professional musician, such as yourself, were to play Raag Lalit in a concert - would you also be tuning the tarabs so both shrutis of Ma Tivar are present ?

  • In general only one teevra Ma is tuned in tarafs, the higher one in both raags, which is the more dominant one. I don't see why one couldn't tune both, however.

  • Thanks for the video!

  • Dr. Praful Kelkar has done a wonderful job in explaining the use of different pitch positions of different notes under different raga contexts... This is very well explained. I wish more thoughts come before us from this extraordinary thinker. :: Sanjoy Bandopadhyay

  • This is very good explanation. we , the musicians who are practicing Raga music must know it that how the same note variates in different ragas unlike the note available in our " favorite instrument - harmonium".
