@sfcErwin92 Siping is supposed to extend the life of a tire by making the tire run cooler, and allowing the lugs to flex instead of slip. The long haul truckers swear by it, but they drive under pretty controlled conditions. Realistically when it comes to four wheeling, the life of our tires is more dependant on how we drive and the type of terrian.

does siping an mt like this take away from the tires life span?

@changievangie Thanks! I sipe mine as deep as I can. Probably about 50%+ of the lug depth. You can always do it again when the tread wears down.

@BBDDmudcrew Thanks. It's a 1970. I put a fuel injected 5.0L HO in it. Runs great! It's still a long way from where I'd like it to be though.

@SNOWTREKorg does it have a fold down windshield or did you weld it place cause if its not i heard that the windshield will fold down on its own and break the glass

@BBDDmudcrew Yes, the windshields do fold down on all the early broncos, however the later models don't have the bracket on the hood to latch it too. I've never seen or heard of one fold down on it's own. It is pretty common for folks to tie in a support to their roll cages though.
