I know it was an emergency situation, but this duck sholud have been fined for not wearing a seatbelt! ;)
I hope he is well now, as he is very handsome for a drake.
Best regards for all your speaking and quacking friends, Kasia!

We have a blue pied muskovy drake...and he gets sexually aroused around hand crocheted blankets....they are supposed to hiss and pant because they don't quack. They sound like a truck letting off air brakes.

did they give him breathing treatments?

My beloved Quacky is dead after some very similar symptoms, and now my little duckling Flappy - only 4 months!!! - is suffering of this, and my vet don't understand what is this illness..:((((

What's with his panting when he gets his blanket?

He pants when he's happy, just like a puppy dog and he wags his tail. He loves his blankie and was happy to have it when he had to spend the night at the hospital in a cage.

did u get the test results back??
(and he seems like a real sweet pea!)
i also love and raise ducks but I live in minnesota so I cant let myself get overly attached to them because i would have no place to put them in the winter! so i let them fly away when they want to :( which is too soon if you ask me!

Yes, he had e.coli in his crop. And since he is small for a male muscovy, he was forced out of his egg by a seagull trying to eat him, dropped the whole egg from 7 feet and it cracked and he fell out. He can't swim forwards either. I guess going through all that his immune system is compromised. He plays with the other ducks outside and I guess he caught it in the pond even though we drain it every week.
