  • Haha, you guys are great. For cleaning the "certain regions" a number of you mention, water and slight scrubbing work just as well as soap. The skin in those areas are even more delicate and sensitive than the rest of our body so its important not to use or do anything too harsh or damaging to that skin. And YES, the comment about not necessarily taking a shower to clean those areas is a good tip! It might seem a bit awkward at first, but it works wonders (and is very refreshing).

  • can you do a video over dental hygiene?! :D i just LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. it's a motivator

  • @TheFancyem It's a motivator for me to hear you say that! Thanks!

  • what soap do you use, when you use it? I use the brand True Body, its great i have extremely sensitive and dry skin. what sunscreen do you use, i cant seem to find one that isnt super thick and natural!! Been a viewer of your old channel, I love all your tips and tricks, cant wait to hear more from you!!

  • @lindseylove126 Thanks love! I'm not loyal to one brand of soap or sunscreen and am trying new things all the time. When buying any new product I look at 5 things: 1) Who made it? 2) What's in it? 3) How was it made? (handmade vs. mass-produced) 4) What are the quality of the ingredients? 5) Do I want to support this company? I'm with you on the struggle to find a decent natural sunscreen. I haven't found one I'd feel comfortable recommending.

  • I wonder if and which new topics you have coming up :D I've been using natural product brands forever...

  • @WholesomeBeauty Thank you!!

  • Hi! Love that you're making videos again:) You're such an inspiration to me! I've been making my own face oils for a few years (ever since you uploaded the video for your older channel). Have you tried washing your hair with baking soda and apple cider vinegar? A friend of mine and I have, and that alone has totally transformed our locks for the better. But you're so right! Not showering everyday (just use a cloth in between) makes a big difference. Keep making your fabulous videos!

  • @TheFancyem

    I'd suggest:

    - Johnson & Johnson Reach Gentle Gum Care Mint Woven Floss

    - Arm & Hammer PeroxiCare Baking Soda & Peroxide Toothpaste with Tartar Control

I’ve took a quite detailed look into the fluoride issue (peer-reviewed information – not unqualified “opinions”), and for approved concentration levels there's nothing harmful – only dental benefits. Arm & Hammer toothpaste has much less abrasive ingredients than many other toothpaste brands, and cleans just as well.

  • For deodorant, for years I've been using baking soda. I just have a shallow wide-mouth jar of soda, and after getting out of the shower I take a (dedicated) blush brush and rub it against my skin to moisten the bristles slightly. Then I dip the brush into the soda, and brush it under my arm pits. It doesn't control sweating (i.e. it's not an antiperspirant), but it's great at controlling odour. It doesn't seem to take very much, so don't overdo it - it can chafe if you use too much.

  • Oh and I guess my whole point for posting that is that if I were to shower more often my skin would be sloughing off of me, especially in the winter. I also haven't had a split end since I was a kid and in the pool constantly and I rarely use conditioner. I think as a society we're conditioned to think that we NEED to shower daily but that's really not true...unless you're particularly sweat-prone or odor-prone I guess which some people are so I say do what you can get away with.

  • I'm with you on this. I typically shower 3x/wk, more often in the summer though and definitely whenever I wear sunscreen. I've also never grown up using soap/body wash so while I do have soap/body wash in the shower now, I rarely use it. A good scrubbing (IMO) works better for me on a regular basis than soap/body wash. Of course I wash my face daily and for the ppl who mentioned certain areas needing daily cleansing, you can do that without necessarily taking a shower.
