Man vs Minecraft Part 1

Using a Bear Grylls skin as inspiration, and Minecraft Beta 1.8.1, through an hour and a half of starting new worlds I came up with a world where I spawned on an island in the middle of the ocean, with only 3 trees in sight. No chickens, no cows, no sheep.

I am not using any mods in the game, I am however using the hi-res texture patch which allows better grass, ie. grass on all sides of a grass block and not just the top.

After about a week of in-game play (lots of resource gathering) i'll be setting sail in one of the cardinal directions from my spawn island, I want my viewers to vote on one of my later videos and which ever direction gets the most votes, well i'll be going that way.
