These are fun to ride in, if you stay on past the top floor and past the bottom floor, the cabin moves sideways into the adjacent shaft, however don't shift around too much in the cabin whist its doing its lateral shift, or the machine could stop with you stuck at the top or bottom

@clarkloveselevators Answer to your question. The Paternoster car will move side ways as it goes around to change direction. You will not end upside down. Theres many of us who rode the paternoster all way round. Providing you keep still in the dark areas you should be ok.
