Sugar's first gunfire lesson-- she handled this EXTREMELY well. She is as close to bombproof as you can get-- I will be posting more of her lessons as we work with her to make her a possible hunting mount or CMSA competitor.
Sugar is a 14.2 hand stout 12 year old solid white (with brown eyes) super smooth gaited mare. She's excellent on trails or in parades. Her gait ranges from a slow ambling clip (glass smooth) to a much faster paced rack (still smooth) that a quarter horse has to canter to keep up with! Her coat color is a favorite as it allows us to dye her all sorts of colors for events. She made a WONDERFUL unicorn for a childs birthday party! I could also see her tolerating "Pegasus" wings very well! She has PERFECT ground manners and a fantastic attitude! She rides alone or with a group, leads or follows. She rides well in traffic and nothing spooks her. She is currently being exposed to gunfire daily to make her a possible hunting horse or cowboy mounted shooting youth/womans competition horse (see videos). She is beginner safe and a very easy horse to handle. She loads, clips, bathes, stands for farrier, stands like a statue when mounting/dismounting, and is never pushy or demanding. She would be ideal for therapeutic or lesson programs, trails, parades, demonstrations, exhibitions, hunting, or CMSA. She would suit a child, teen, woman, or small man. Her smooth gait encourages confidence in beginners/children and for the older experienced riders; its VERY easy on your back and knees!!
$2,000 negotiable to a fantastic home-- she deserves it.
You can pop balloons, use a cap gun, paper bag filled with air.
Your breaking them of their fear of sudden noise is all.
A gun is good to use if hunting is required of them.
