If Qui-Gon hadn't intervened on Naboo, it wouldn't have given the Trade Federation a reason to attack, which in turn wouldn't have given Palpatine leverage to become Chancellor, which would never have led to the Clone Wars and the eventual fall of the Republic.

@Rayman77792 If you wanted to get really technical, you could go as far back as, say, thousands and thousands of years before the movies to when the force was discovered and used by monks/scientists/whatever, and the split between them was their fault. I guess? Haha I'm just throwin that out there.
