Afternoon at the summer camp

In the afternoons after class, the students would have a two-hour activity period with their teaching assistants (T.A.s). These teaching assistants are all senior student volunteers from Beijing No. 4 High School and have been carefully selected and trained by both faculty from Beijing No. 4 High School and their Canadian colleges.

All the activities are developed and customized for the Chinese students by our Canadian teachers. Games include "Fuzzy Dice Making", "Silent Interview", "Four Corners", "Snakes", "Group Knot" for junior students, and "Jeopardy", "Pictionary", and "Transportation Solutions" for intermediate and senior students. When designing these activities, the teachers try to incorporate them with the curriculum that students have learned during the same day. The teachers also develop the activities to promote teamwork skills and leadership spirit inside the students.
