I was just building a custom for my self when I realised that I prefer the stick to be quite stiff ie. less springy.

Instead of doing the usual method of adding another spring or using a seimitsu spring. It just dawned on me that you dont need to use anything except the existing original spring.

All you really need to do is remove the original sanwa spring and stretch it by simply pulling it from either ends so that full stretched it measures approximately 7-8cm. When you let go of the spring it should measure just over 3cm.

Now when you reassemble the stick you will find that the stick is alot more stiffer with less "springyness" and your dashes will come out alot cleaner. Thats what i found anyway.

This also works well for tired & old sticks which need a new lease of life.

This can apply to basically any other stick aswell.

Have a go for your self, it wont cost you anything!

  • hey b15 i combined an ls32 spring with a ls55 spring. and i got the stiff feel i wanted but lately iv noticed that its been significantly looser. I tried stretching out the ls55 careful not to bend it out of shape and still not much of a difference. what would you recommend i do? thanks

  • @adr916sac Hey, I should take this video down really as it pretty pointless. I would say a good stiffness is a combination of a JLF spring and a LS32 spring. I guess it depends on what stick you are using.

  • @b15sdmdesigns hey there all your sticks are amazing but i wanna do my own and was just wondring what sticks are they ??

  • BONE THUGS!

  • just buying an extra spring and double coiling the spring is more effective than this method.

  • Yo...this is my song. It's the fist of the mooonth, so cash yo checks and come ooooon

  • @milkkart

Exactly what he said. It will make the spring weaker in the long run meaning you're going to have to replace it, and go through the trouble of disassembling the stick again. Just go to Home Depot/Lowes/Local Hardware store and get a stronger spring that matches the original which is very simple to do and will prob cost you no more than $1. (And you'll only have to take the thing apart ONCE)

Besides ordering a seimitsu spring plus shipping is like $2 from lizardlick.

  • wake up wake up wake up, its the first of the month

get up get up get up, cash you checks and come up

  • this will work briefly but it will quickly make the spring even weaker than before.

  • Thanks for the tip man!
