@BUDD1954 Sorry, respectfully you are wrong, please, do your homework. Ngo Dinh Diem were one of an advisory personnel for the king of Vietnam under the colonization by French. He initiated the Coup D'Etat on the king of Annam (Vietnam), no one voted for him under the emperor system at that era. As an old saying in Annam's culture, 1950's thru 1960's, "Diem will died as his victim (emperor)." So, it is just politics, history, and dead. Thank You.

@ludigvan - Sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with you about "Big Minh". He was the leader of the clan to initiate the Coup D'Etat of Ngo Dinh Diem regime together with CIA/Kennedy brothers in 1963. And he, himself,also ordered his men to assassinate Diem and his brother Nhu instead of let them be exiled as intended. Yet he was not able to lead causing chaos in the South Viet Nam. This was the main root cause which snowballed years later to the disaster of the fall of Saigon in 75.

@BisousAngel what a shame. he was a former president and his service should of been much more than what it was. i wonder if any us govt officials showed up?

The funeral of President NVT was really so moving..i have been deeply touched in my heart with a deeper understanding of the lives of these famousVietnamese leaders of our time ..where i was still a young innocent child and now it seems His departure in great honor and respect today also marked the end of an era which many of us will never forget through our lifetime, those who has genuine love and respect to our fellow country men, our soldiers and our leaders.
