@digitalbroadcaster yes, we agree there. he should be better at hiding the mechanics. should, that is, to "fit in" with the new generation of magic, because video really rapes good old-school magic. however, even juding by different standards than that kind of magic should, stone's not a bad magician at all. if he was, how on earth could he win 3rd place on close-up magic, in FISM? not possible. he may be different and not the best, but can't be called a bad magician.

@JSLSampaio No, I haven't seen him live.  Only on YT. I've seen a few magicians including a friend of mine from school days from long back as he is a pro magician in the Magic Circle. I have seen many of these guys perform faultlessly. However, Stone should realise that half the audience will be looking at his hands and the other half at other things. He should be better at hiding the tricks mechanics, is all I am saying, especially when on TV.

@digitalbroadcaster you haven't seen him perform live, have you? stone's magic is really different from actual magic. it's "old school", if you want. Read an old magic book and you'll see that most forces, as an example, rely heavily on misdirection, and less on actually hiding the moves. what's the point of hiding what the audience never looks at? the same way, stone uses a lot of misdirection, and does that with expressivity, jokes, laughs and funny noises. doesn't mean he's a bad magician.

@bigbruthaman So is my dog! He can perform much better than this guy and he only has three legs. Follow Stones hands and you can easily see how he does his tricks. Pretty poor really.
