Thank you for this video. The streets are so familiar to me. Every day I would walk these streets during my 1 semester study in Jerusalem. I missed the "not very peaceful" city of peace, Jerusalem.

It's Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, Israel...It says it in the very beginning.What a disappointment!!! Israeli soldier and policemen walk on the street. Maybe they already control Damascus?!
Also u will be surprised how many american tourists are visiting syria..i met some of them they were learning arabic at the university..they staid like 4-6 month ..i would say ..U SHOULD REALLY GO..damascus is such a great city..they kept old things u will be fastcinating..

i am syrian/lebanese livin in switzerland..so i can tell you from to points of view..u said u re livin in USA..so..i am sure u will feel save in syria..the tourists always give that feedback that the people over there are friendly and helpful if u need/search something..usually they speak a lil bit of your language :D..
it is as clean as your country they really trining hard to do all for their visiters..
i really enjoyed your video. it would be so amazing to be able to go visit. i live in pa. u.s.a .but im from tn. u.s.a. i could just see myself walking with you. what were the big doors along your walk? were you in a tunnel? did you feel safe? are the people friendly? was it clean? so fasinating! that would be a dream to visit there. thank you
