Most adwords advertisers look at the big picture and target entire countries, expecting better results out of higher search volume.

However, when used correctly, locally targeted campaigns can beat national competitors due to the limited search volume. Google automatically boosts your ads to prioritize the local advertiser.

Check out how to set up local target ppc on google adwords and take advantage of this quick tip.

  • is there any way to only use geo targetting for each ad in a campaign. lets say i wanted to lease a website to plumbers using my adwords campaign...I would want the campaign to be called plumbers. but each ad running across the U.S. all using this technique.

Right now it looks as if i can only use this technique for the campaign and not each ad

  • Great tip.

  • Yeah, right - I agree. Makes sense, since it wouldn't matter WHERE you get your results. As long as you get them, more of them, on a lower budget and that's what counts. Thanks for the tip.

  • Looking forward to more tips ...very good presentation.

  • Leonardo,

As always great content. You are truly a leader in this industry.
