  • This is so touching. Exactly how I feel. Thank you for it......by any chance do you remember the Native American standing on the side of the highway with a tear rolling down his cheek? He was looking at the trash on the highway? It was probably back in the 60's or 70's.

  • that would be

    iron eyes cody

  • Once upon a time, the Cherokee were one of America's most loyal allies. They even learned the American Way Of Life. But,they got so good at it,they were out-doing their American neighbours. They had become more American than the Americans.Jealous Americans were the Cherokee Nation's downfall.Stupid jealous Americans.

  • God Bless our Native American's~

  • @shadowinmoon A very good comment. I wonder how many people remember that? Sure seems no one listened though. I take walks just to pick up the trash left along the road sides. I also carry a trash bag in my car. I guess that is the way the blood runs though my veins. I am glad though, that you remembered.

  • Used to have this album back in the 70's but my sister stole it.

    (We are both part Cherokee).

Hope she still has it. Great tunes.

  • @shadowinmoon Iron Eyes Cody was Italian, just another wannabe cashing in his dark skin

  • I always teach my daughter who is 15 the generation Mayflower what really happened. Why are our teachers telling kids that the pilgrims were here first??? Why aren't schools telling the truth? Whenever my child comes home from school I and I know what really happened I tell her the TRUTH.

  • was originally looking for the Don Fardon version, not realising it was a cover, so in my seach for the original I came across a few versions, and well the comments that go with them ?

Have to say this completley different to Don's version and is a great song, wish I had heard this before now.

    Thank you for posting this.

  • WANTED - too late to catch the bastard - they have multiplied anyway

  • I like the picture at 1:12. It's so cute!

  • I still remember in junior high a band from the Omaha Nation came to our school and did their Omaha Tribe version of this song.

  • love this, well done
