Game info: East India Company is a real-time strategy computer game developed by Finnish company Nitro Games and published by Paradox InteractiveThe game is based on the history of European conquest of South Asia and Southeast Asia by means of their East India Companies. In the game, the player takes on the role of the Governor Director of the East Indies. The task is to conquer the East Indies and establish a trade empire to rule over all others. The game features real-time naval combat when enemy ships engage the player's fleets, and real-time land combat when the enemy tries to invade one of the player's colonies. East India Company combines trading, naval warfare, and management. Players can create a fleet to conquer the enemy with powerful warships and privateers. : If u like naval battles and an easy to learn trading-game, East India Company could be interesting for you. The game uses elements from top-games like Empire: Total War, Civilization, Anno, Pirates and the good old 1869. It has a nice "base" to entertain the player - 8 nations to choos from, a nice career-mode in which you have to become the best trading-company between 1600 and 1750, a well designed GUI and exciting naval battles. But, the game misses the last kick in becoming a really top-game. The 8 nations, you can choose from, they have no differences, the diplomacy is not much satisfying, and the trading-system is too simple. You'll get lost later in the game, if u have to manage lots of harbours and fleets, because there are not enough managing tools available.
