After hearing about it from friends, I've just seen the spoof "Monex" commercial that Saturday Night Live aired on March 17. My spoof was shot March 3, completed & posted to YouTube on March 11. While the Monex ads are so goofy that SNL independently spoofing them at the same time is not inconceivable, their use of orange juice seems like way too much of a coincidence. A friend told me that Will Ferrell said in a recent interview that he & his team occasionally use YouTube for inspiration in their brainstorming sessions. Interesting, huh?

Yeah, SNL did NOT rip this off, this was not at all funny. It'd be funny to show friends and family, but not funny for the world of the internet...ESPECIALLY after watching Kristin Wiigs performance... Not THAT was funny!
