@emolosersunite The strongest female in our department is not physically capable of using the hydraulic cutters. She still puts in a good effort on the job but it just makes the team work that much harder when she is on the scene. She is still weaker than the strongest male, by quite a bit in the weight room. A women's physiology cannot compete with a man's when physically demanding labor is needed. Hire the best!

Some body has a big head. For on when you are called out to a wildland fire. You are not going to be there for 3 months as you said. It used to be limited to 3 weeks now it is down to 2 weeks on.. Cause they are volunteers! Look, I don't doubt that you had a bad experience with volunteers, but if you are the thinker, I think you are, then you have to logically accept that it is wrong to judge all volunteer departments based on your limited experience. In the end, paid and volunteer do the same and risk the same, plus, both sides have their share of idiots. Your comment of =pussy volunteers= is ignorant because, the ones you call pussies do what you do without a paycheck for doing it.
