  • In this clip, Mel Hall first appears riding the "handlebars', then the low unicycle and the giraffe while dressed in top hat and tails, and finally, the upside-down.

  • What is the name of this film??

  • Thank you so much for submitting this clip. In the 1980s, I had the opportunity to work with Mel, who, at the time, was performing as Happy the Clown. He did a great routine with a handlebar unit, a hint of which you can see in this video, and which I've never seen duplicated. And, of course, there is his legendary trick of riding upside down on a giraffe, pedalling with his hands. Mel had a background as a hand balancer, which no doubt helped him accomplish this feat.
