In honor of this being my first anniversery of me trading, I would now like to upload the FIRST EVER show I ever got from any trader: the sole circulating '70s Concentration episode (yeah, I know it's already up here, but this is better quality! Plus, this is a certain special occasion for me.)

DISCLAIMER: Nothing you see here is STILL my property.

  • Is this the longest running and last game show Jack Narz did?

  • @tpir1972 I wouldn't know about longest running, but this was his last. He did, however, took over Password Plus for part of an episode in 1982 though.

  • @tpir1972 I remember this only running for one or two years -- Now You See It ran much longer ?

  • @joebradio Actually it was quite the opposite. This ran for 5 years, while Now You See It lasted just over one year.

  • IIRC, WOR used to show this in New York nightly on Channel 9.

  • With Splendido playing and Johnny Olson announcing, it almost sounds like it could be a TPIR showcase description.

  • When this version started in 1973, there were many NBC "Concentration" production people on the staff. There were 3 "Take 1 Gift" and 1 "Forfeit 1 Gift" actions on the board, reversing the setup on the original as Mark Goodson hated the "gag prize" strategy and they were eliminated (with NBC's permission). The original car was a yellow 1973 Chervrolet Vega. Over the years, more of the NBC staffers were eliminated and replaced with Goodson-Todman staff, as Goodson was "expanding his brand."

  • My comment should have read "former 1961 'Nighttime Concentration' BOARD was in far better shape…". Sorry!

  • I have to laugh at the rebuilt (1975) board in this episode. Even with the new works, some of those trilons, particularly numbers 28 and 23 were still pretty stubborn. Still, this former 1961 "Nighttime Concentration" was in far better shape than it was at the beginning of the 1974-75 season, when the trilons took two "hits" just to get them to turn (v-e-r-r-y slowly), and the mechanism was grinding horribly. The red/yellow numbers offset the color rebuses perfectly; they were still challenging.

  • @Tubewings

Maybe they're so full of shit and like you stated, greedy as fuck.
