May Day - Havana Cuba

Maritime Union of Australia officials, rank and file wharfies, seafarers, women, youth and veterans from around Australia were among workers from 58 countries to meet in Cuba for the May Day Celebrations, the 50th Anniversary of the Revolution and 70th anniversary of the organised trade union movement, this month. Two hundred trade unions from around the globe were represented in addition to over 700 delegates from solidarity movements. I can tell the lack of information that this tourist people have about the reality of cuban workers in the island. About 2/3 of those cubans marching at plaza de la revolucion on May 1 are obligated to go or risk to lose their jobs if they don't. The tourist guide do not mention that many cubans work for less than a dollar a day. This people received VIP treatment when many mothers in Cuba are thinking about what they will gift to their children for dinner.

@wpolom Have you been to Cuba lately? Because it has nothing to do with nazism and fascism..

Could say the same about the bullshit democracy in the US where only millionaires can run for politics, and so only the rich are represented by the government. Or in Canada where our votes are not proportional, and the government has 60% of the seats (majority) but only has 40-45% of the population's support. Without saying that in most democracies, only about 55-60% go out to vote. & most are uninformed
