5.33 I saw that happen with the Jackstafff or our ship when the Captain was up on the bow of the ship to ensure that the flag came down at the right time, when the flag jammed miway down the staf the Captain (A full Captain) ran back to the Wardroom , grabbed 3 officers ( airdales) they all ran to the bow, one tried to climb the Jack, couldn't , they then pulled the pin and brought the whole Jack Staff down, I was the duty Quartermaster on the bridge holding colors that afternoon/evening,
