I woke up the next morning. I felt something I haven't felt in a long time. Loved. I felt loved. There was a boy next to me. I got the love of my life back, without any trouble. Now all I needed was clearing things up with Nick, and my life would be perfect again.

"Goodmorning beautiful." Joe said, cuddling me into his chest, with his arms around me.

I groaned. "Morning." I smiled, kissing his neck playfully.

He chuckled, kissing my lips tenderly. "It's good having you back next to me." He almost whispered.

"I just have a question." I said.

He kissed my forhead. "Shoot."

"Why did you try to kill Vanessa?"

His smile disappeared, as he unwrapped his arms. "I'd rather not talk about it." He said and turned his back to me.

"Joe,"

"No. Please," He turned around, looking me deep in the eyes. "Please Demi."

I almost saw tears in his eyes. "O-okay." I whispered.

"Thanks." He kissed my head, and leaved the bed. "I'll make you breakfast." He said before leaving the room.

I sighed, pushed the pillow to my face and screamed as much as I could.

"Is Nick living with your Mom?" I asked, playing with the waffles on my plate with my fork.

He nodded, and sat down. "He can't afford an apartment, now that you're divorced."

"But, we really never got divorced.. I still have the ring. And he never signed the papers."

"Oh." Joe swallowed a lump and cleared his throat. "Well, then I guess you must visit him today."

"What? No! I mean, I'm not ready!"

"You talked to him yesterday, didn't you?"

"Well, yeah, but--"

"No but," He stroke my cheek. "Talk to him."

I sighed and looked at my waffles. "Fine. After breakfast, kay?"

He smiled. "Kay."

I shut the car door, and walked up the stairs to Nicks house. I took a deep breath and pressed the door bell.

His mom opened. "Oh. It's you." She said, without any interest.

I faked a smile, and cleared my throat. "Listen, I need to talk to Nick."

"Too bad." She was about to shut the door, but I stopped her.

"Ms Jonas, I need to talk to Nick. About the .. divorce papers."

She sighed and opened the door. "Come in."

I walked in, hearing Nick playing the guitar upstairs. It made me smile a little. He told me he used to play when he was younger, and he even taught Joe. I walked up the stairs, to his room and knocked on the door. "Nick, It's .. Demi."

The guitar sound stopped for a few seconds, as the door slowly opened. "What do you want?"

"I want you to sign the divorce papers, so it's finally.. over." I felt a lump forming in my throat.

He looked at the papers. "Fine."

I entered his room, and recognized the smell. The smell of roses. Pink roses. I remember he filled the room with pink roses, the day he proposed to me. He kneeled down, told his long speech about his life without me, and then he showed me the ring. I remember how blessed I was. "Wow, this is just as I remembered it." I smiled.

"What did you expect to be changed?" He inqured.

I shrugged. "Remember when you proposed to me?"

He slowly nodded.

"I remember walking into the room, smelling this kinda smell."

"Roses? Yeah. I can't get the smell out of the room." He slightly smiled.

I giggled. "How did you know I loved pink roses?"

"Well. You've always been a tomboy, right? And you loved pink. So, pink roses."

"That doesn't make any sense."

"Well, sometimes thing's don't make sense."

I smiled a litte and suddenly remembered what I was coming for. "Uhm, you better sign these.." I handed him the papers.

"Okay." He signed them, Nicholas Jerry Jonas.

I faked a smile. "Great. Now, you're free. Have a nice life." I kissed his cheek and leaved.
