Glad I am not up there

You can go that high with 25. If its guyed properly. Buddy has had one up with a 6 element 11 meter beam about 130ft for 8 years now.

This far up would be great for a ham repeater!

You can certainly stack 25G to 190' if the only thing on top is a tiny little grid dish. I don't recommend installing much more than that. We had a 25G collapse
(I didn't build it) because the wind-loading far exceeded the recommended surface area. We had to build a 45G for the customer. It's been up for several years now without incident and it is packed full of PTP gear.

we are currently installing a 190ft Rohn25G. I will post pics when we are successful

@BurningTirez yah whats up with the 20.000 dollar tower for an HD tv sattilite?

Hey looks good! A quick question for you, what do you use to tie onto the tower? I just picked up a nice harness and am looking at a 6ft safety lanyard for fall protection, but havent decided on the positioning lanyard yet. Suggestions for a Rohn-25G?

all for that one little antenna?

no i live in a really small town in middle of nowhere, and im not sure I just posted an ad that was a want to buy: small antenna tower. Got 2 replys, one was a huge tower that I couldnt get down, other was a 25g I got down with just rope. I am putting 35' of it up this spring for a beam.

@BurningTirez Whaaaaaat? Where do you live; a big city? And does take it down you can have it apply to other things than radio towers.
169 foot 25g; 25g's are only supposed to go up to 90 feet!! Definitely not over 100!!

You really need to check out a Rohn catalog. They say you can build a 25G up to 200'. I have probably done 30 or so towers between 100 & 200'

That equipment is what get us our internet. I have a UBIQUITI 2.4 ghz radio and a 24 dbi antenna. I am 20.5 miles from our access point. We average 3 MB up and down.
