[From "Kovacs Corner" on YouTube.com] - During the 50's and 60's, the motion picture and broadcasting industry began their losing fight against "pay TV" by conjuring up various scare tactics, one that was implyed was that viewers would be forced to install vending machine coin slots on their television receivers. Of course, Kovacs grabed that ridiculous idea and ran with it! Here Ernie utilizes a later character in his repertoire named "Albert". Laced with cobwebs and carrying a Chaplin-esqe gate and appearance, Albert made another appearance in one of the clue segments of "Take a Good Look". Bobby Lauher and Jolene Brand appear within the TV show within the TV show. Kovacs borrows the theme music from another of his silent characters "Eugene". It is Dmitri Shostakovich's "The Age of Gold Suite Polka".
He was such a good observer of our everyday life.
