Republicans favor obscenely wealthy over Middle Class

Republicans are willing to say that 50,000 rich fat cats are more important than 21 million Middle Class folks in this country. At the time the Alternative Minimum Tax code was written it was designed to make sure that the rich people of our country did not evade their taxes through loopholes. However...this has become a horrible way for a family of 4 making $75,000 to see their tax bill double. Democrats want to raise the income levels dramatically but the Republicans simply do not want them raised.

EXACTLY! It is a Socialistic movement of capital from the poor/Middle Class to the rich. Socialism for the rich (to them) is wonderful but Socialism for a poor person is the worst.

The rich ALREADY pay the most taxes in every way. They earned their money. They should keep it.

If we REALLY want fair, then everyone should pay the same PERCENT (10%, 20&, whatever). THAT would truly be fair.

By world standards the U.S. "middle class" is obscenely rich. Globalization will bring this reality home within the next generation...
