  • Technically, the bong is a yang movement... a block... to reposition your opponent to open a line of attack to his center. It's not one of the "6 Killing Hands" because it is not an attacking movement, whereas other movements, such as the fok, tan, pak, and others can be attacking hands, as well as blocks.

  • You are correct but there is more to the way that bong sau is applied. If Lut Sau Jit Chung is applied correctly, then if the opponent releases his contact on your bong sau your elbow feeling towards their centre should automatically enable you to hit with you fist and elbow converging on the opponent's centre. With this kind of feeling of Lut Sau Jit Chun, the opponent's centre should feel threatened when you apply bong sau as it should with all the actions you apply.

  • Is that a very young Gary Lam With Sigung Wong?

  • I remember a story I was told my Sifu when I was young.

It concerned the Wing Chun legend Wong Shun Leung and another WC exponent who strangely enough was also called Wong.

Basically, they fought and Wong Shun Leung's Kung-Fu was obviously superior but several of the onlookers including my teacher were less than impressed by the whole spectacle.

"Why was this so?" I asked.

    My Master chastised me saying:

"Everybody knows that two WONGS don't make a right."

  • I met Sifu Wong at his school on Nathan Rd. back in 1986.

He was cool & welcoming to outsiders like me; I wish I could've stayed longer.

I've checked but can't find out exactly how he died.

    Anyone tell me?

  • LOL@ the two WONG don't make a WHITE joke.

  • why can't too chinese people have a white child???

Two wongs dont make a white

  • DONT THINK FEEL

  • EXCELENTE SIFU, GRACIAS por este video.

    de Argentina.

  • Seems to me that a Bong Sau can be used as an attack if it is converted into a kind of Jarn (elbow) strike.
