@RobertMfromLI Agreed. Also, I find it all the more impressive that the originals were real-time game models that used dynamic animations fitted perfectly into whatever battle scene they appeared in, as opposed to being pre-rendered movies scripted to play when you summoned a creature.

i think crisis core's summons were a lot more cool than the original one.

I've always disliked ifit's summon in crisis core

I only watch Bahamut, Bahamut Fury & maybe Odin's summons fully

@TimW405 Yh true. I was just playing the game hoping for the rebirth flame (for a phoenix down feather) & I actually watched the whole summon..... mfw I saw the phoenix.....

@Chromozome1205 I know why they take sooo long. It includes the summon's comeback as well as their move, so it's longer that when you're fighting the actual summon. & it is kinda interactive, if you do the missions & the minigames that usually get missed

The new phoenix was not only disappointing, but it was ugly! It looked like a damn ostrich. The old FF 7 phoenix was better. Very similar to 9's. My fav was 8's.

Too much bling in crisis core for my taste, plus the summons take way too long. Unfortunately final fantasy has turned into nothing more than a cinematic adventure, such a shame. I would take knights of the round and bahamut zero over these any day.
